Founding Engineer, Talent Stream – Dallas, TX (Remote)

June 2025 – Present · AI-native recruiting and staffing platform: recruiting CRM, AI interviewer, and internal tooling for recruiters

  • Owned infrastructure, CI/CD, identity, and observability for ~60 services (Node.js APIs, Kafka workers, Postgres, Valkey, Elasticsearch, Keycloak, n8n) as the sole platform engineer on a 5-person team
  • Cut total platform spend, compute and observability included, from ~$3,000 to ~$250 per month by moving every workload to 2 Docker Swarm clusters and self-hosting observability (internal platform, ~100K requests per month)
  • Replaced Datadog (~$550 per month of that total) and Grafana Cloud with a self-hosted Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope stack on Cloudflare R2 with Keycloak SSO, covering every service and database
  • Rebuilt the Terraform estate into 27 reusable modules and 4 environments across 3 AWS accounts with OIDC deploy roles and release-please pipelines, shipping 72 infrastructure releases with approval-gated production
  • Reduced CRM release time from 15 to 5 minutes (3 services and a web client) with a multi-entrypoint image, split build/publish/deploy workflows, health-checked zero-downtime deploys, and Blacksmith runners
  • Created an AI interview platform on LiveKit (NestJS hexagonal server, Python voice agents on Gemini Live) from a solo proof of concept to production interview campaigns as top contributor (54% of commits)
  • Designed clock-authority synchronization (NTP-style over WebSocket, least-squares drift fitting) for lossless per-speaker interview recordings, solving clock drift and resampling across browsers and agents
  • Consolidated 5 repositories into a pnpm monorepo in 1 day with ADRs, per-package CI, and release-please workspace releases, producing 33 releases in the following 8 weeks
